I’ve been thinking about Echoes of Collapse lately, and you may have noticed (or maybe you haven’t – shame on you!) there was no entry this past Friday. I had a scene ready to go, but vacation and travel got in the way. When I got back home a couple of days ago, I thought to put the entry up, but then I paused.
The lapse got me to wondering: do I continue the series? It was always meant more as an experiment, and proof that I could maintain a regular series. After several months of Echoes, with regularly updated entries, I feel like maybe I’ve confirmed that. There’s a couple different options I’ve considered in continuing the series, but I’m not sure this blog is the right format for that to happen.
And you might also have noticed the relative dearth of activity here on the site. I certainly have.
I’ve been writing. A LOT. A current project has taken up most of my valuable writing time, and it’s at a critical stage of completion, so I’ve been working really hard to get it to a point where I can take it to the next level. I’m closer to that point now, which is exciting, terrifying and daunting – all of the above. I don’t want to speak too much on that project just yet, but I hope to have some news soon.
There’s also the exciting news of two of my stories soon to be released in different anthologies, both published by Angelic Knight Press. Very proud, and I’m sure I’ll be pounding down the social feeds when those are finally released.
If anyone has any input on Echoes of Collapse, I’d love to hear it. I’m very much appreciative of the time people have taken to check it out, and the reviews have been great. But maybe it’s time for another path? What do you think?
